The World Health Organisation (WHO) approved three ways
to make the polio vaccine. Two use cloned tissue - and are virus
safe. The third grows the polio virus in the kidneys of dead wild
monkeys. WHO warned that this method was the most dangerous for it
could contaminate the polio vaccine with monkey viruses. SmithKline
Beecham and other drug companies opted for the third method because
it was slightly cheaper. The disasterous consequences have now been
documented by leading medical scientists - but are not yet widely
known by the public. The research on this web-site is mostly from
peer-reviewed journals (we will warn and explain when the work is not
from such sources.)
The History of Polio
Vaccine Monkey Virus Contamination.
1. SV40 and Widespread
Human Cancers.
The US and UK governments have admitted that the polio
vaccine introduced in 1955 was contaminated with a rhesus monkey
virus named SV40. At the time the vaccine was introduced, it was
found to cause cancer in all the animals in which it was tested by
the US government's testing lab. Despite this it was presumed
harmless in humans. In the mid 1970s the first human brain cancers
turned up with SV40 in them. In the 1990s it was found present in one
third of all human bone cancers, in over 80% of childhood brain
tumors and in over 80% of the lung cancer known as mesothelioma that
is also linked with asbestos.
In the late 1990s we found how SV40 is linked to
cancer. It turns off a human gene known as p53 that prevents the
multiplication of cells. It thus takes down a key human defence
against cancer. Recent research now potentially links it to breast
cancer. When SV40 is given to female pregnant rats, every one of them
gets breast cancer. Although all this research is published in
leading medical journals, the drug companies and governments are
still not taking this seriously. In England there is not a single lab
equipped to test for SV40 in cancers. In 1998 I was involved in a
project that sent biopsy samples of UK cancers to a lab in Italy. We
sent about 20 samples and found SV40 present in cases of UK
mesothelioma and bone cancer. Today the monkeys used for polio
vaccine are sceened for SV40 antibodies - but it is too late. SV40 is
now present, according to Italian research findings, in the spermal
fluid of over 40% of "healthy" males tested and is passed from mother
to child.
We now need most urgently funding for both anti-SV40
medicine and for gene therapy aimed at turning back on the p53 gene.
We campaign to have this funding from both the governments that
assured us it was safe and the drug companies that profited from
these drugs.
2. SCMV and Damaged
Human Brain Cells.
Research published in 1999 found a monkey virus in
damaged human brain cells from patients with chronic fatigue
syndrome, fibromyalgia, depression,schizophrenia, anxiety disorder,
seizures, developmental delays, autism,lupus, multiple sclerosis,
Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, unexplained encephalopathy and chronic
vegetative states. This virus was named as SCMV and was found to come
from the African Green Monkey - the very species used today for the
manufacturing of polio vaccine for the US and for the UK. British
polio vaccine is manufactured by the company SmithKline Beecham
(which is now merging with Wellcome) in a Belgium factory to which it
imports monkeys and kills them for their kidneys. Many monkeys die
during the capture and transport process.
British Professor John Martin, now Professor of
Pathology at the University of Southern California - and the other
scientists working on this - believe that the current vaccine is
still contaminated with SCMV - but the US government is refusing them
permission to test for its presence. Martin was earlier the Director
of the main US government vaccine testing lab. He now reports that
the polio vaccine is causing an epidemic by spreading SCMV.
We demand that the vaccine lots are immediately and
urgently tested for this monkey virus - and that the drug companies
responsible put their profits into helping the victims of ME - as
well as paying compensation.
3. SIV, HIV and
AIDS
Finally, and again most seriously, recent scientific
research shows that HIV1 comes from a SIV virus present in
chimpanzees - and that HIV2 comes from the Sooty Managree?
monkey.
It now turns out that one of the first polio vaccines
was developed experimentally in the very areas of central Africa
where AIDS is now most disasterously epidemic. It was tested in a
farm where 400 chimpanzees were help captive. Their kidneys were
taken and used. This variety of polio vaccine is known as CHAT -
which could stand for Chimpanzee Attenuated. (Attenuated is a word
used for living virus vaccines.) AIDS appeared just 2 years after
these experiments commenced. Other experiments were conducted by the
same scientist in a New York women's prison. with handicapped
children in New York and in Belfast. SIV (the monkey version of
HIV) was only officially screened out of polio vaccines in 1987 -
over 30 years after the vaccines were introduced.
It is the time to stop
feeding us monkey viruses -
We should never have
been fed them
It is time to
STOP.
Save a few monkeys,
Save many humans.
We need help urgently to help us take on the drugs
industry. We need practical and financial help. Our target date for a
press launch is September 2000 - the time when the Royal Society will
be debating the link between polio vaccine and HIV.
